NAIROBI TO MASAI MARA

This is a short safari featuring Maasai Mara National Reserve. The Safari departs Nairobi in the morning and involves a drive down to the the floor of the Rift Valley, making a stop at viewpoint to see the escarpment and the awesome sight of the valley. To arrive Maasai Mara in time for lunch, followed by a late afternoon game drive that introduces you to Kenya's most popular game sanctuary. Our clients are picked from their residential homes or hotel/Airport for the Mara trip Safari. Approximate drive time from Nairobi to the Mara takes approximately 5hrs with a stop-over along Mai mahiu Escarpment & Narok town before making entry to the Masai Mara National Reserve. (Pay entry fees at the entrance gate). Check-in time is normally with lunch on the first day before afternoon game drive in search of the Lion, Cheetah, Elephant, Buffalo and other members of the Big five plus other animals after which get back to the camp for evening dinner, refreshments plus other room services as per the camp. FULL DAY GAME DRIVE

Spend the day in Maasai Mara, Kenya's most popular game National Reserve where you will have the best opportunity of spotting the Big Five - lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant. The Masai Mara plains are full of wildebeest during migration season early July to end of September, zebra, impala, topi, giraffe, Thomson’s gazelle are regularly, leopards, lions, hyenas, cheetah, jackal and bat-eared foxes. Black rhino is a little shy and hard to spot but are often seen at a distance if you are lucky. Hippos are dominant in the Mara River as are Nile crocodiles, who lay in wait to ambush as the wildebeest cross on their annual expeditions to find new pastures, mate. Game drives are flexible, with the option of going out with picnic lunch boxes to spend entire day in the the park, or you can choose to have early morning and late afternoon game drives.
